After an incident the other week, I needed to get either new bracket made up, or possibly get the extg one repaired.
After speaking with our friendly fabricator(!), Niall offered to take a look.
Here's how it came off the car (threaded bolts):
And here it is back with it's new replacement. The holes have had heli-coils added into the old bracket to repair them. Good as new looking at it. As soon as the rain stops( ), I'll get out and see how the new one fits.
Top work again Big Man !!

Niall also found me some replacement bolts as the new holes had a tighter pitch. Got the caliper re-mounted, but due to some lost fluid, decided to give a new fluid change at the local garage.
Turned out I had a damaged hose also. Bugger.
Eventually got a new pair made up and fitted, and picked the car up this morning. Car had been in the garage all last week, but they were cool about it, especially as I couldn't collect the other day due to the baby coming along.
Anyway, fluid changed with Motul, RBF600 Dot 4. Took the car out for a spin and all seems well again. The new pads (Carbon Lorraine RC 5) are absolutely awesome. Cost a fair amount (~£250 for the front pair).
Cant wait to try them out on track next.
Anyway a massive thanks to Niall, for a) Being so approachable and b) turing around quality work in less than a week.

what facilities do you have Niall? do you have a milling machine and that kind of thing?
I have a milling machine, a lathe, mig and tig welders, a press, a box full of tools and my mitts. I have always wanted all of the above, since i was a younger lad. Could still do with a few bits and pieces like a bandsaw, bench sander etc. If i won the lottery, i would have a workshop like Tony Stark, and thats where i would spend most of my waking hours. I love making stuff and making stuff go faster than it should. I will get there one day
Niall.

excellent... I have a lathe, welder (MIG/ARC) but no milling machine.
I need to wait for some components to come through, but the reason I ask, is i need some basic parts to be milled out for a project that I'm making for my camera.
