All I have had time for lately is reading and researching, keeps the brain on the fabrication train.
I found a place on the interweb that sells cores for all of the above, which leaves end tanks and piping.
The idea is to measure up the area behind the front bumper and design and make an intercooler and a piping/fitting kit which fits a bit more easily (front mount first, maybe side mounts later) and has an actual fitting kit as well.
The end tanks are relatively straight forward, make the desired shape out of metal/wood, knock some sheet aluminium into shape around it and add pipe stubbs as required.
I had some sheet aluminium (too thin for an end tank, but gives you the idea) and ordered a couple of weld on fitting from ebay, just to see what they were like, how they were to weld etc, as usual, a few pics.

The welds arent great, but got the hang of them on the last stretch, so i know how to approach them next time.
And just for good measure, while i had the welder fired up, attacked some scrap aluminium i had.

Sorry for the teasers, but another nother "watch this space" post.
Niall.
